Only two ingredients
Whereas other baby wipes contain up to 16 ingredients, WaterWipes baby wipes have just two:
Water (99.9%) – specially purified to clean babies’ skin.
A drop of fruit extract (0.1%) – to condition the skin and protect its integrity.
Our special formula lets us clean effectively without the need for additional ingredients found in other baby wipes, like surfactants, emollients, emulsifiers and PH buffers - which are explained in the table below.
Unique water technology for effective cleaning
We achieve this through our unique water purification technology. This 7-step process removes impurities, while softening and purifying the water. As well as being extremely gentle on babies’ skin, the result is a deeper and more effective clean*, as our water is able to reach pores and crevices that cooled boiled water can’t – without leaving a residue on the skin.
This is what makes WaterWipes unique, even when compared with other “99% water” baby wipes.
So gentle, they can even be used on premature babies’ skin.
You may have seen on our packaging that WaterWipes contain trace amounts of Benzalkonium Chloride (BAK). This is nothing to worry about. It’s found in lots of baby products, and they’re still totally safe for your little one.
But don’t just take our word for it. WaterWipes have been dermatologically accredited by the Skin Health Alliance as suitable for premature, newborn and sensitive skin, and are proven to be purer than cotton wool and water.
We also have numerous global accreditations, sponsorships, endorsements and registrations including:
Allergy UK
National Eczema Association of America (NEA)
The French Association for the Prevention of Allergies (Association Française pour la Prévention des Allergies – AFPRAL)
Eczema Association of Australasia (EAA) sponsorship
The Vegan Society
WaterWipes are so gentle, in fact, they’re even suitable for premature babies’ skin. WaterWipes are recommended by midwives and other healthcare professionals globally, and have become the preferred wipe for many Neonatal Intensive Care Units throughout Ireland, UK, Portugal, Italy, Germany, USA, Australia and New Zealand.
