Hosted by Consultant Dermatologist Dr Karen Gibbon the Q&A session featured a global multi-disciplinary panel - Professor Peter Hoeger, Paediatric Dermatologist and Dr Alexis Granite, Consultant Dermatologist.
Both Peter and Alexis discussed the link between ingredients in cosmetic products and increased rates of atopic and diaper dermatitis, highlighting which ingredients can contribute or aggravate these common conditions and how. They shared the latest clinical evidence and personal patient case studies to outline how atopic and diaper dermatitis can be more effectively managed and care of patients improved.
Their advice included using or recommending products with minimal ingredients, avoiding products marked as ‘hypoallergenic’ and carefully reading and researching all ingredients noted on product packaging.
