Thank you to everyone who nominated for the fourth annual Pure Foundation Fund, a bursary fund that celebrates and supports healthcare professionals involved in the pregnancy, birth, and postnatal journey in the United Kingdom and Ireland. Nominations will now be reviewed by our judges, and a winner will be announced in the coming weeks.
If you're a new or expectant parent who has been touched by the exceptional care of a healthcare professional, and you want the opportunity to spotlight this healthcare hero, we invite you to nominate them for the Pure Foundation Fund. Alternatively, if you're a healthcare professional who knows a colleague who has gone above and beyond in their work, you can also get involved by nominating them (or even yourself!) for recognition.
For pregnant women that have questions or concerns, HCPs take the time to really listen and understand their concerns, answer all questions, great or small and provide comfort every step of the way. For nervous mothers giving birth, HCPs give a calm presence and kindness to successfully usher them through their delivery. For parents wondering if their baby is sleeping too much or eating enough, HCPs provide them with guidance and reassurance. When illness strikes or medical conditions arise, these HCPs offer care and support during these critical and vulnerable moments. They are the great protectors of our health and our future generations.
I am extremely grateful to Rachael for going to the trouble to submit an entry for me. I hope that by shining a spotlight on Forced Migrant Maternal Health that it will increase funding and service development for this vulnerable group of mothers, here in the Northeast.
