Microbiome friendly accredited

WaterWipes® is the first wipe brand to date to have received the microbiome-friendly certification, indicating that a product made from ultra-pure water and minimal ingredients respects the balance of the skin microbiome. A healthy skin microbiome is key for an intact skin barrier.

WaterWipes® has a pH in the neutral range, similar to that of blood or water.

The pH of WaterWipes® is different from the pH of many other baby wipes. WaterWipes® formulation has a pH in the neutral range whilst many other baby wipes have a pH in the acidic range. 

For individuals with sensitive skin it may be preferable to cleanse the skin with a wipe in the pH neutral range, that gently cleanses and soothes the skin.

Suitable for older skin

Skin becomes thinner as we age and increasingly fragile.  Using detergent-free wipes, such as WaterWipes® sensitive+ body & intimate, to cleanse skin has been shown to be effective in older adults.

Incontinence-related irritation in aged skin can cause mechanical injury and increased susceptibility to infection. Cleansing wipes for ageing skin should be formulated to help protect the skin barrier, with mild formulations that gently cleanse and support the acid mantle, preventing an increase in trans-epidermal water loss (TEWL) and potential irritation.
