Biodegradable vs Chemical-free: What is the difference?

WaterWipes

3 minutes

While there are already baby wipes on the market that are biodegradable, the science behind a biodegradable wipe is complex - and its important to understand the difference between biodegradable and chemical -free.

WaterWipes is fast approaching its target of developing a pure and biodegradable wipe by 2023.

While there are already baby wipes on the market that are biodegradable, the science behind a biodegradable wipe is complex – and it is important to understand the difference between biodegradable and chemical-free.

Biodegradable wipes are typically made from natural materials such as cotton and bamboo, but chemical ingredients are added to keep them fresh and free from bacteria.

As the market leaders of the world’s purest baby wipes, we strongly believe in the integrity of our ingredients and keeping them pure and natural.

WaterWipes contains just two ingredients – purified water and fruit extract. Creating a biodegradable wipe that remains this pure is challenging, yet not impossible.

We are currently carrying out extensive research and testing in order to develop a biodegradable wipe that meets our high standards and does not compromise WaterWipes’ commitment to purity.
